Please be advised that today the MAIB has published its Accident Investigation Report following the capsize and foundering of the fishing vessel Heather Anne resulting in the loss of one crewman, Gerrans Bay, Cornwall on 20 December 2011.

The report, amongst other things, once again highlights the fact that fisherman have a reluctance to wear lifejackets and this results in death.
