PRESS RELEASE
The Board of Directors of Newhaven Port & Properties Ltd met on Monday 1st March 2010 and one of the main items on the agenda was to approve the revised Port Safety Management System.
The system was unanimously approved and is now implemented at the Port. The system encompasses the revised Department for Transport Port Marine Safety Code 2009 and on behalf of the Board, both the Chairman/CEO and the Managing Director/Duty Holder are delighted to announce that in their opinion the Port of Newhaven complies with the requirements of the Code.
The Chairman, Mr. Patrick Jeanne and the Managing Director, Mr. Jean-Pierre Lucas fully support the efforts and commitment of the Port Manager, Captain Francois Jean and the Harbour Master, Captain Dave Collins-Williams, and all the staff at the Port who strive to ensure the continuing compliance with the Code. |
